Sorry, Leslie, but reading Wynton's appraisal and opinions of Bix from his transcripts only furthered my displeasure. Bix and Louis were contempories ... friends, who admired each other. If Bix was just another white guy trying to play like Louis,why would "Doc" Cheatham say in the Brigitte Berman documentary, "We all wanted to play like Bix ... every one of us!"
(And why didn't Burn's include that film clip?)
