The deaths of Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington were handled well. Otherwise this episode may have been the worse. Notice how jazz was declared dead in 1975, before Wynton of course saved it. Where was Scott Hamilton and Warren Vache? Where is the classic jazz movement and the revival of swing? Where was Wes Montgomery, Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett and Weather Report? Where was the Sacramento Jazz Festival? Where was jazz?
It's over! Now we can go back to enjoying jazz again.
