Well, while not enthralled, I was never bored by the series. To me the most offensive thing was the looping and poor editing of the background music...next in line was the constant babbling. I cannot agree that jazz would be on the back burner if it were not for the white swing bands. It seems to me that race should not play an issue. It was musicians of all races playing this music, devoting their lives to it and not expecting riches in return who are responsible. This is something I thought was brought out rather well, though certainly one sided, in episode ten. I too am glad it is over!
