Online Poll: Jazzy Women

Our two-part series on bandleader/bassist Thelma Terry (June and July 2006 Rags) prompted us to consider some other Jazz Age women who were successful as bandleaders in a jazz world dominated by men. We’re wondering which talented and groundbreaking female musician fascinates you the most. Here's a list of some of the women who made fine music and jazz history.
